We’re always working to make 3D printing more accessible, and a huge part of that equation is getting your prints to you as fast as possible. That’s why, as of today, we’re proud to offer you the option of getting your Dyed and Polished Strong & Flexible products even faster.

In January, we lowered our lead time for Dyed and Polished Strong & Flexible products from 6 to 5 business days, but we know that is still not fast enough. So today, we are extending our Rush service to include all Strong & Flexible finishes (Polished and Dyed). With Rush, your Polished and Dyed products will ship in 3 days!

On-demand manufacturing means your products are made just for you. However, it also usually takes longer to get your product in your hands than it does from a store where the product is already sitting on the shelf. At Shapeways, we’re working hard to close that gap with innovative solutions until 3D printing technology advances, one day making same-day shipping possible.

Rush will enable you to prototype and iterate more quickly on designs, procrastinate a couple more days in planning the perfect birthday gift, or work against a tight deadline without sacrificing the high quality that you can expect from Shapeways. We hope this offering takes some of the pressure off of time-sensitive projects.

You will now see the Rush option when you check out in your cart for all Strong & Flexible products that are not combined with other materials. Just as with our existing Rush White Strong & Flexible offering, the cost of your Rush Dyed and Polished Strong & Flexible order will be 50% more than its original price.

The Fine Print:

  • Rush offering is for all Strong & Flexible finishes with a bounding box less than 150x150x200mm
  • To use our Rush manufacturing, add Rush-eligible models to your cart. A checkbox will appear that allows you to select Rush manufacturing for your order. Keep in mind, you must have only Rush-eligible orders in your cart to see this option.
  • Target Ship Day for North America, Australia, and New Zealand: Leaves our factory in 2 business days for unpolished White Strong & Flexible and 3 business days for all other Strong & Flexible finishes for orders made before 2pm EDT. Orders placed after that time will be counted towards the next business day.
    • e. Order placed on Tuesday 7am EDT, parts are shipped end of day Thursday. Order placed on Thursday 4pm EDT, parts are shipped EOD following Tuesday.
  • Target Ship Day For All Other Geographies: Leaves our factory in 2 business days for unpolished White Strong & Flexible and 3 business days for all other Strong & Flexible finishes for orders made before 2pm CET / 8am EDT. Orders placed after that time will be counted towards the next business day.
    • e. Order placed on Tuesday 7am EDT, parts are shipped end of day Thursday. Order placed on Thursday 4pm EDT, parts are shipped EOD following Tuesday.
  • Rush orders are 1.5X the price of regular pricing (pricing may change in the future)
  • You can use the Print it Anyway option along with Rush if you choose.
  • Check the materials status page before you order to make sure we have capacity before placing your Rush order. This is an experiment, and we physically have a daily-maximum volume capacity for Rush. While we will always do our best to make it happen, we may not always have room to accommodate your order. If you place an order that we won’t be able to deliver on time, customer service will reach out so you can cancel your order and place it again as regular Strong & Flexible.
  • To ensure your order arrives as fast as possible, you still need to select Next-Day Shipping (or fastest available) in your region.
