About
This is a Shapeways Shop by Reduced Aircraft Factory, LLC.

Full color 3D prints of various 1:144 planes are now available.   Click on the "Full Color Models" section of my shop to see the options.

Some details on my models:  All model design is done in Blender.   Renders are done with a combination of Blender, Terragen, and Photoshop.  Other than the full-color prints, almost all designs are available in 1:144 and 1:285 (1:288) scales, and a few are available in other scales such as 1:200, 1:350, and 1:600.

Let me know if you have any special requests.  While I cannot promise when I'll get to them, I'll at least bump them up in the queue.  I tend to stick to WWI, though, as I don't really have enough time to do all the designs I would like, even given that restriction.

A good place to find out more about WWI models, colors, and gaming is https://wingsofwar.org as well as the Wings of Linen WIKI.  If I don't feature a particular WWI model, you might try checking Decapod Models, Columbia Aerodrome, wow, Kampfflieger, Arctic Skunk, or others.  AEModels, Carlos2K, and others have some nice WWII designs also.

A note on materials:  Detail Plastic clearly has the best detail and smoothness, but it is brittle and it can have problems of crystalization on the surface (see the relevant threads on the forum), and it is expensive for larger models.  I find it best for small models like accessories and 1:285 and smaller.   Versatile plastic is usually the cheapest, but it can deform under pressure, and it has a (relatively) fuzzy surface.  PA12 is strong and robust, with a surface smoothness between the other two, but it is price-competitive with Versatile Plastic only at certain sizes.
