Product Description
This is the giant Husnock Ship from TNG: "The Survivors". This new model is more accurate as it takes into acount that the ship must have the same overal shape as the numerous ships this studio model was used to create later, such as the Bajoran/Cardassian Transport or the Numiri Ship. The first version seemed to be modelled after the inaccurate picture from the Fact Files magazin. Ex-astris-scientia.org gives the length as 1300m, this would make this at 1/20000 scale but this is only estimated. Other sources state a length of 1500m. After all it looked huge against the 642m Enterprise D, although it is farther away from the camera. On the other Hand, Riker says it's approximately five times the mass of the Enterprise. If we take internal volume for mass (assuming both ships are made of the same materials and are equally "filled"), compared in a 3D programm, this ship has to be about 900m-1000m to be five times the volume of a Galaxy Class model. If we take the approximately five times and a different internal "filling", this could also be anything between 1/10000 - 1/25000. I simply scaled it to 65mm lenght to be usable in an Attack Wing game, not too small but also not too big to be too expensive. For the last one and to take off weight, i also hollowed the model and added a socket for Attack Wing pegs, which also doubles as an escape hole. A second escape hole is hidden under the center spike and shouldn't be noticable at the first look.

Be aware that the price for Frosted materials Shapeways calculates for this includes a per file and a per part fee. You only have to pay the per part fee for this when I combine this with one or more items in Frosted Ultra/Extreme Detail. So ask me to combine all the items you want to one single file to get it cheaper.

If you need this in another material, size, quantity or combined with one or more of my other parts for cheaper printing, just let me know. I will try to make it as you need.

Original model by Max Loef and/or a member of his team from the Star Trek Armada III mod. Please visit http://www.moddb.com/mods/star-trek-armada-3 and support the developers. Used without markup. I repaired and optimized the file for 3D print. If you are the original creator of this mesh, please leave me a message to give you proper credit or if you want me to not use this mesh.
