HopChop Mk4 Blade Fixture - R-Hop Cutting Jig

3D printed in white nylon plastic with a matte finish and slight grainy feel.
Product Description
The is one half of the HopChop cutting jig. When paired with a HopChop Feed Guide matching your tubing diameter, the HopChop provides infinite adjustment in the cutting depth of the silicone tubing used to make R-Hop patches. R-Hop is an accepted method in the airsoft community to apply a consistant and tunable backspin on the BB pellet. Check out the AirsoftMechanics forum for more details about R-Hop.

The job of the blade fixture is to:
  1. Hold the single edge razor blade securly during the cut
  2. Hold the feed guide and allow adjustment of the cut depth
  3. Facilitiate a secure grip on the jig during cutting
***The blade fixture needs either magnets or paper clips (not included) to hold the blade in place while cutting***
The blade fixture is designed to hold two neodymium magnets that secures the razor blade. The Mk4 blade fixture now supports 6 mm round by 1 mm tall magnets that are easier to source from ebay. The magents are glued to the fixture using superglue. A razor blade can then be attached and changed as needed. While the fixture was originally designed for magnets, it was found that small binder clip can be used instead of magents and work pretty well! (see pictures on FAQ page)

An additional step in prepping the blade fixture is to color the measurement mark. Only the first mark is needed and should be colored in with a fine point ink or gel marker. Alternatively, the mark can be white on black by using white out.
