This high quality 3d printed design is super durable for the hardest of drivers. With the additional hardware listed below, it's a direct replacement with no additional mods. The standard body and frame require no changes.
Double bellcrank steering will transform the handling of your rig, giving smooth, precise turning with servo power going right to the wheels rather than into the poorly designed plastic sliding rack. Geometry is also refined over the stock setup to reduce bump steer. Full lock angle is maintained. Servo turn angle is maximised to get the strongest performance from your servo.
This setup puts the steering servo onto the right side of the car, leaving the left side free to put the battery right down into the tray bottom (See the Scorched Parts Battery Holder item). This is a huge advantage over the stock position, and better than the battery up front mod too. For crawling, it climbs without tipping back, just as well as with a battery up front, but will traverse better without tipping over, and will be way better at decents without tipping forwards. For speed, it will greatly improve cornering speed before flipping over.
Upright suspension (suspension units must be bought seperately) is another great part of this upgrade, providing a wider choice of units, reduced friction in the suspension system and a longer damper stroke to give refined, controlled shock absorbsion.
This kit is designed to work best with 80mm shocks with 20mm of travel. This offers the maximum travel you can get from the stock Twin Hammers drive shaft setup, and more than other vertical shock setups.
Gmade RSD 80mm shocks
(non piggy back) are ideal. Scorched Parts specially tuned damper pistons for the RSD's are included in this part, along with inner shock spacers to limit shock length to 78mm if required.
Also RC4WD 80mm King Shocks
RC4WD Spring rates and damping will need setting up to your preference. Firmer springs are required - the RC4WD spring kit is recommended. 10 - 15000wt diff oil is recommended.
Gmade 75mm XD
shocks work well right out of the box, making them a really good choice, but do reduce travel by a small amount:
Longer shocks may be used, such as Axial 90mm shock, but require extension limiting (straps or internal spacers). Bear in mind that the ideal range is 75-80mm extended to 58-60mm compressed
Not suited to 'piggy back' style shocks, unless you modify the stock cage.
Please note that this part will not fit with motor lengths of more than 57mm. Most 540 motors are within this, but check where wires and sensor plugs exit. Soldering on wires at 90degrees will help with some brushed 540 motors.
Maximum servo size: 41.8x20.7x42.9 (most servos are within this)
Wherever possible, the stock hardware is re-used, including turn buckle rods and the suspension ball races, put to better use in the steering bellcranks.
Bellcrank parts and shock spacers are now INCLUDED in the print.

Servo Horn, 16mm with space for rear face fitting, such as a TLR1557 (with correct teeth for your servo)
