I have been trying to create some organic shapes from regular polyhedra to use as 'hand sculptures', small objects which are pleasant and even soothibg to hold.
This is an icosahedron which has been skewed, stretched, faces replaced by holes and smoothed. The result looks quite organic and random but closer inspection shows that it is quite regular, each vertex surrounded by five holes,each hole by three vertices.
