Product Description
This upgrade set augments the 1/1200 Revell Scharnhorst set for a more accurate representation of the infamous German Battleship of World War II.
Many view the 1/1200 Revell Waterline sets as just simple children’s models meant to loosely represent the subject and be played with. My intent is to transform this segment from children’s novelty toys to more accurate and highly detailed small scale replicas. As such, these sets are intended to be used in concert with photo etch sets available from Tom’s Models as well as brass wire for masts and small caliber weapons barrels.
I chose not to duplicate the main armament as the main battery included with the kit is one of the better parts of the original model.
Many parts of the main structure are designed to incorporate the existing kit parts such as cranes, rangefinders, radar, etc.

Fine Detail Plastic is delicate and brittle, please handle with care, and always use a sharp exacto knife when trimming parts from the sprue.
This set is intended to be used in concert with the model kit as well as photo etch detail sets.
Modification to the original kit will be required to make some parts fit properly.
