Hi,
The parts for my N-scale (1:160) railway station arrived this week. It consists of 6 different parts. I just put it together with some sellotape to see what it looks like.
So the parts have not been fully alligned yet. Will do that once I put together the final model (it will also contain some etched parts, which have been ordered).

PS: I ordered two copies of the model, so 12 parts in total. Unfortunately, I only received 10 parts. Confused

Yep, it's based on an existing type of railway station ...

More then 20 of these station were built all over The Netherlands in the 19th century.

I presume you mean this one:

Reuver's station is a 5th class railway station, while mine is a 4th class. They have both been designed by the same architect at the same time. Th 5th class was however designed for smaller villages ...

It's black ... adjusted the lighting a bit to get a better view of the details on the model.

Just a small updated ... glued the parts together and spray painted them with Basic Colour from Revell.

Added the Euro to show the size of the model.

Just some pictures of the (almost) finished model. The model has been sprayed with a base paint of Revell (tested Tamiya base paint on another model and tat works fine to). After which I painted it with Vallejo Acrylic paints, just my preference, the acrylics from Tamiya are also great.

The doors and windows are made of etched brass ... in this scale they would become too thin (0.25 mm) to print.

This is great - I'm looking to do something similar at some point with a building I'm wokring on - I think Shapeways could end up being a great tool for architects as well as the other designers that use this service!
