3D printed in white nylon plastic with a matte finish and slight grainy feel.
These rocker switch covers fit perfectly on my 1987 M20J. They fit snugly and will be difficult to remove once installed. After receiving your printed parts, I recommend light sanding to get rid of the slight graininess from the printing process. Then apply a decent spray paint primer to further smooth the surface. Next apply lettering while being sure that the part is properly oriented. The two small bumps near the center of the back of the part should be on the bottom of your switch. To get the text onto the part, laser printing on transparencies and applying with a clear epoxy works well. Finally, just finish the part by applying a clear coat using clear coat spray paint. Snap on, being sure that both sides of the cover are fully secured. You may have to alternately press the top and bottom to get it to fully seat. It should click into position and then look correct without any binding when used. Once properly installed, the switch cover should fit and work as well as the original while saving you hundreds of dollars versus buying entire new toggle switches. ***** BE AWARE that there are more than one type of switch in Mooneys. I believe that this is the "ETA" type. Please check if your switch cover looks like this model before ordering***** No guarantees, warranty, support, or suggestion of suitability is implied.
03/09/2016 - I have added the polished plastic material option for sale because someone has requested it. I have no experience of how that will come out but if you try it, good luck, and please post feedback concerning your results.
