Product Description
Here's an incredible selection of Imperial crates and barrels, ready for your Docking Bay 327 or other outer space diorama! They're modelled as closely as possible after the movie originals. They're probably not dead on, because there are no blueprints or detailed photographs out in the public documenting the original props. So I had to eyeball a whole ton of screenshots and behind the scenes photographs. But, well, at 1:350 scale, it's all much of a muchness, isn't it?

I've also included the (closed) scanning equipment box used by the hapless scanning technicians, and the presumably wheeled cart that seems to have been used to move said box along. And the large black barrel in the front corner of the docking bay, up near the glowing white frame. I've also modelled a bunch of things that were stacked on top of each other in the actual film - hence some two-barrel units.

To save you huge amounts of money all the crates and barrels are attached to sprues. You can use standard model sprue cutters to cut them off. This works even though the parts are made of brittle acrylic, because the model bits are thicker than the sprues themselves. Alternatively you can keep the sprues intact and drill holes in your diorama board and mount the parts that way. Keeping the sprues intact until the last minute also makes painting the parts much easier - use tiny alligator/crocodile clips to hold them in place.

Please read the following if you're interested in these items.

These accurizing parts are not mass-market commercial products. I made them for my own use, and have put them here in case they're of interest to someone else. Possibly you, since you’re reading this.

These are components for the serious model maker who wants to build a more accurate miniature. They require finishing. If you don't want to trim, file, sand, and glue, then these aren't the parts you're looking for!

The parts are tiny, and easily broken. They push the limits of today's 3D printers. The detail in the digital previews is all there, but it won't always be visible at the miniscule sizes that this scale requires!
