Product Description
Updated: This file is update to fix the angle issue mentioned in the Keystone Modeler review.
This is a diaphragm designed to fit Walthers' Metroliner cars. No modification of the car body is need, however the front door window needs to be removed. This can be easily painted for PRR, PC, and Amtrak Phase I Metroliners. Unfortunately no decals are available for the Phase II cars. So unless you're modeling the last days of the Metroliners you should be able to make this work. As always I recommend that you first soak this in googone for a day or two, then coat it with Mr. Surfacer 1500 from a spray can. Then it is ready to paint. You will need a screw as well, I used a 6mm long 2.5mm diameter screw. You might need to enlarge the hole a bit as well. To install popout the door window on your Metroliner model, install diaphragm, insert screw into backing piece, and screw into diaphragm. If you don't mind gluing this piece to your Metroliner. Then you can omit the screw and other steps, just remove the window and glue the whole thing into place.
