Product Description
Here are some minor scenic accessories for a diorama of a certain fictitious desert SF city.

Basically these are just door panels. Scaled to 1:43, to match the De Agostini Falcon kit or the Master Replicas collectible. They're designed to match my series of doorways.
In the 1:43 scale I have a number of matching doors: single doorstwo doorsfour doors, and eight doors.

This panel design appears far in the background of a couple of scenes, but appears most prominently in the scene in which the robots hide behind a door from marauding troops. They don't seem to appear in Docking Bay 9 4 itself - just street-facing doors.

The panels have two holes on the back for 0.5mm fibre optics. These allow the middle two buttons to be lit. In the film, the middle rectangular one is incandescent white, and the square one is red. The other buttons, which are not particularly well aligned, are grey or blue-grey, and the panel itself appears to be metal.

To save money, since Shapeways now charges extra by the part, the four panels are joined by sprues. At this size the "Frosted Ultra Detail" and "Frosted Extreme Detail" prices are the same, so I just include the FXD option here.

Please read the following if you're interested in these items.

These accurizing parts are not mass-market commercial products. I made them for my own use, and have put them here in case they're of interest to someone else. Possibly you, since you’re reading this.

These are components for the serious model maker who wants to build a more accurate miniature. They require finishing. If you don't want to trim, file, sand, and glue, then these aren't the parts you're looking for!
