Tell us a little bit about yourself: Who are you? Where are you located?
I am Mani Zamani a digital artist, product and toy designer. Lets say I am a citizen of internet 😉
What’s the story behind your designs? What inspires you?
I am the child of the 80’s with many many visual influences of Japanese animes and pop culture mixed with today’s modern art flavor. I love it when technology become a tool in the hand of artists for any type of self expression.
How did you learn how to design in 3D?
I am self thought. Teachers are useless, learn yourself.
What brought you to 3D printing with Shapeways?
I have a long interview about this subject On the Shapeways blog done long time ago: Read here and here.
How do you promote your work?
Via social medias and design blogs, and of course you guys are important.
Who are your favorite designers or artists? Who in the Shapeways community has served as an inspiration to you?
My friend Tomoo Yamaji and myself
If you weren’t limited by current technologies, what would you want to make using 3D printing?
Wood material and please more eco-friendly and biodegradable materials.
