New York celebrated Design this week with ICFF and a numerous satellite shows and events around the city. Shapeways participated in Model Citizens NYC where with the help of Chris Hardy, Gilbert13, TheFutureFuture, Marius Watz, Colleen Jordan and GothamSmith to share what 3D Printing has to offer to int the world of art, design, and jewelry.

Love those bike part cufflinks(?) but they fly in the face of the design rules for stainless steel – many of those elements in the design are clearly not 3mm thick and yet if we upload a flat pendant, for example, it will not get accepted if it is less than 3mm in thickness… Confusing.
