Product Description
This is a pair of replacement gear for Lasonic TRC-920 and TRC-931 switches. You get 2 gears which is enough to fix both the function and tuner switches. If your switch knob just spins and isn't able to change selection modes, then it's possible the entire plastic gear inside the switch has split or crumbled. You should be sufficiently capable of removing, desoldering the switch assembly and replacing the gear. We cannot help you with this and you assume any risk associated with this "fix."
The hole in the model is exactly the same size as the shaft, so it should slide on with moderate resistance, but some minor adjustment may be necessary for a good fit. If too tight, we recommend you shave off the hole interior with a small file or sharp pointed exacto knife. Don't force it in with too much force or you could end up splitting it. Although the models are drawn accurately, the 3D printing process does have some tolerance variations which varies depending upon the type of material chosen, so please understand this.
We have tested this in PA12 and it was a tight fit that required some minor adjustment in the interior hole sizing. Previous material offerings (in metal) are removed because Shapeways will not accept this model (multiple gears) in metal so we have removed those options. Additionally, we previously offered these in higher resolution plastics but feel that PA12 is the strongest and best material that Shapeways offers so we are only offering it in this material at this time.
