Sharp GF-777 cassette door Type 2 (custom)

(Custom) Replacement Cassette Door for the Sharp GF-777 and variants (such as GF-767, GF-777, GF-909, GF-999, GF-1000) etc.  If your cassette doors are missing, you can restore functionality of the deck by replacing the doors with these 3D printed ones.  Often, the factory doors are removed because the decks stop operating and the user forces the door open to remove the cassette tape which can break them.  The other reason is that the door hinge sockets wear out or the hinge pins wear out.  If the sockets are worn out, then these doors will fix that.  If the hinge pins are worn out or broken, then you will need to fix those hinge pins first (we also sell kits to repair this issue, see our other items).   Doors are sold individually.  These doors have a difference in appearance from the factory doors, so if you are only missing one, we recommend replacing both otherwise the doors will not match.

Differences between this and our other custom door.  This door has a special opening for the glass, will require glass that has undercut top and bottom edges.  The door slot accepts 1/16" glass thickness so glass that is 1/8" thick with 1/16" undercut edge will sit either flush or slightly proud to the surface of door, whereas our other door has a  1/8" thick slot allowing a 1/8" thick glass to slide right in but will be slightly recessed.  For a schematic of the special cut glass profile, follow the link below for a glass that is cut and should fit this product.

Product material options:
The most affordable option is PA12.  (black or gray).  Unfortunately, these have the roughest finish of the lot.  Before considering the high priced (SLA) Accura products, please contact us first.  We may have an alternate solution.

Factory aluminum trim.  This door will have a different appearance than the factory door, especially because the factory door has an attractive brushed aluminum trim piece that this door doesn't have.  If you are handy with metal work, you may be able to cut your own which you can affix to the door face.  That will be up to you.
