Product Description
The second of the many experimental modifications that the Soviets made to the KV-1. This particular model is armed with a flamethrower in the turret, which is unusual for WWII flame tanks, which usually had the flamthrower mounted in the front of the hull, replacing the hull machine gun. Because the flamethrower was in the turret, the 76.2mm cannon was swapped out with a 45mm cannon placed inside a dummy 76mm tube to fool the Germans. However, the gun was considerably shorter, so I don't know how well that actually worked. Overall, flame tanks were never that popular with the Red Army, and fewer than fifty of this vehicle were made.
