HAVC - Victorian Railways AV Car Chassis

This is an N Scale model of Victorian Railways' AV Class carriage Chassis.<br /><br />This model requires (HAVB) AV Carriage Body, Microtrains 1017 4 Wheel Lightweight passenger car trucks with adjustable couplers and painting to complete.<br /><br />The carriages were introduced into the Victorian Railways in 1897 and ran until the mid 1960's. Between 1962 and 1970 the carriages were scrapped.<br />At the end of construction the number group was AV1 - AV26.<br />Between 1897 and 1907 these cars were in service with the OVERLAND (Melbourne - Adelaide) as OA Cars.<br />Cars OA 31, 32, 34 and 35 were cars AV 31, 26, 5 and 11 respectively.
