Product Description
Caledonian 812 Class 00 Locomotive Body, minus detail pack.
For a body with the whole detail pack printed cheaper in resin on a Photon for £44.89 please email sparkshot082@gmail.com
The detail packs had to be made separate due to a few issues.
Please email sparkshot082@gmail.com to order resin prints of them for £14 plus postage, please specify smokebox door type and track gauge. Type 1 is the smaller original one, type 2 has an outer lip and type 3 has the locking dogs on also. The packs include reverser rod and lever, cab details, 2 types of buffers, option boiler filler, whistles and both types of safety valves.
You will need to make the handrails from 0.45 rod with handrail pillars, cab rails also need to be fabricated. Photon version has them in position pre-printed including a whistle and smokebox dart/wheel stick although in resin. These had to be ommitted from Shapeways versions due to printing tolerances.
Chassis and tenders etc are still in development so they will be released at a later date. Several like the idea of using RTR 00 chassis though, the Drummond 700 has been suggested a few times although I cannot say yet if this will work or not.
Note: Finished picture is a Photon 3D Print, both the loco' body and tender, mounted upon a Hornby Drummond Chassis after a bit of fettling. Courtesy of Andrew Postlethwaite.
