Product Description
Known as "Besstrašnik" (Бесстрашник - the Dreadnought), by its crews, the KV-2 was an intimidating artillery tank, if not all that effective. 10 tonnes heavier than the KV-1, which already suffered because of its outdated transmission, the KV-2 was prone to steering failures and broken tracks. In addition, the turret could not rotate if the vehicle was not level. However, the 152mm howitzer was an absolute beast of a gun, and could make short work of both tanks and bunkers. Combining this with the already tough Kliment Vorošilov chassis was enough to scare off most German tank crews. The KV-2 remains an iconic and easily recognisable tank to this day.
