Product Description
Belt Conveyors are used to move bulk materials such as sand, gravel, coal, rock, etc from one point to another, in some cases over very long distances from mine pits to processing locations. After the material has been processed, its either loaded into trucks or rail cars or stockpiled in large piles. Bulk material storage piles will often times have reclaim tunnels running under them where material can flow into the tunnels and be loaded via another belt conveyor for transport. When multiple stockpiles are needed, a Tripper Car Conveyor will be used, and over the span of one single conveyor there may be multiple stockpiles to achieve maximum storage without the need for multiple conveyors. Tripper Cars run the length of the conveyor on rails and can offload material from the belt conveyor into multiple different stockpiles. When combining belt conveyors, tripper car conveyors, transfer towers, and conveyor supports, you can easily add multiple stock piles to your processing centers on your layout.

Model of a 60' Belt Conveyor section with 39" belt width & Catwalk on one side. Conveyor has Tripper Car rail supports on either side. You will need to supply your own code 70 or code 55 rail and glue in place on supports. Tripper Car model available, see my other models.

Expand by adding multiple models to make a longer conveyor. Each section is 210mm long. Add the head and tail sections at either end to complete the belt conveyor model along with tripper car.

You will also need to add the belt (using fine sandpaper or black electrical tape) and a see through grate deck material to complete the catwalk deck.

For the deck, I suggest using Plano Models Apex Slotted Pattern Material available here: http://www.planomodelproducts.com/scratch_scq.html
For the Railings, I would suggest using Mike Rose  brass pipe railings available here: http://www.mrhobby.com/store.php/MikeRoseHobbies/pg6896/etched_brass_
