Hi, Shapeways has changed the requirements for escape holes for Smooth(-est) Fine Detail Plastic. They now need to be at least 4mm in diameter (was 2mm). This means almost all my hollow items are now not printable in Smooth (-est) Fine Detail Plastic anymore. But because the wax inside the model does now cost the same as the material itself, it doesn't change the price for Detail Plastic if the model is hollow or solid. Please contact me if you plan to order a hollow model in either Smooth or Smoothest Fine Detail Plastic from my shop!
Hi there. i have updated a lot of my ships recently and i'm still on it. I'm still struggling to adapt everything to the new price systems and the changes in some materials. During this process i also check if there is a better version the ship available or if i can improve it myself. I also see if there is any new information about the original size of a ship available. When i upload a new version, it will lose it's print history and will get the "First to try" flag again. Some ships i have to make a new listing, as the old ones are sometimes buggy, still showing materials no longer offered by Shapeways and not calculating the prices correctly. In this case, if you liked a ship or even put it into a list, the link will no longer work and the item will be shown as not available anymore. In this case please search through the shop to find it again or ask me to put it online again. I also do a little clean up, removing everything that is not in the usual collectors and tabletop scales. There are still some old items that are not optimized. If you want to order something it is always a good idea to tell me what you are about to order so i can check if it contains an item that i need to update first. I also then can see if i can make it cheaper for you by combining stuff. So the best is to always tell me what you need in advance. Don't hesitate to send me a message, i'm always glad if i can help.
I got this email. Seems as most things will cost more in the future... again. PA12 on the other hand will become a strong alternative to Versatile Plastic

Actions required: your models printed in Versatile Plastic will automatically have pricing updated when the change is live.
For Shapeways marketplace owners, your markup will remain the same but the total price for affected models will change. No actions are necessary but we recommend that you review your markup and update as needed. Prices have dropped by up to 50% for HP Multi Jet Fusion PA12 and Multi Jet Fusion PA12 Glass Beads. Models with an axis size up to 15cm/5.9 inches have been reduced, while the per-part minimum fees are now $7.50 for MJF PA12 and $11 for MJF PA12GB. Black and Dark Gray finishes have an additional $2.50 fee applied.
Actions required: No actions are necessary, but we encourage you to explore printing with these materials for potential cost savings. These changes have been made since March 31, 2020.

Sorry, not at this size and level of detail. You know, it even isn't printable in Versatile Plastic, which has a minimum thickness of 0.7mm. Steel has a minimum thickness of 1.0mm. The gun barrels for example on this one have a diameter of 0.6mm.
coelian276 I have changed the scale of this from originally 1/4400 to 1/4800. The minitaure is now 3mm shorter than the prints in the pictures by Fergo113 and 1.4mm longer than the one in the picture by ryan123450

coelian276 @DarkScipio I wish it would be that easy, but this is not true. This particular ship will become more expensive too. About $4-6 in Versatile Plastic and $24 in Smooth FIne Detail Plastic. In fact there are only a handful of items in my entire shop that will become cheaper. Most of them just about a few cents up to $10 or so.
