The Nibopedic solid is a horizontal pen rest that provides almost five full inches of comfortable support and rest for your favorite writing instrument. The horizontal rest elevates your pen or pencil above the surface of your desk and keeps it from accidentally rolling around and falling on the floor.

The Nibopedic solid is heavier than hollow versions which provides additional stability.  The bottom is flat so you can cover the bottom with a piece of self-adhesive felt if you so desire.  Originally designed for porcelain ceramic material the design is available in several material options.  Does it get any better than this?
