3788 Scale Ryn Dreadnought (DN) MGL

The Omega Octant is east of the Alpha Octant empires seen in the Star Fleet Universe (beyond the Inter-Stellar Concordium), on the other side of a galactic void. That void is a dead zone where life is impossible and ships fall apart, marking a separation between Octants. The Ryn are a species of tiger-like creatures that evolved on a swampy, tree-covered world in open space within the Ryn Nebula. The nebula is the remnant of an ancient exploded supernova, and surrounds a small cluster of 15 old stars, many of which are in the process of dying. The Ryn remained independent as long as they could in the competitive Omega Octant, but finally the Andromedans proved too great a threat, invading several times during the Fifth Cycle. The final attack arrived to find the Ryn Nebula deserted. All remnants of the Ryn - their people, artifacts, technology, and resources - were gone without a trace. Their star systems and worlds were still there, but were totally empty, and the true fate of the Ryn remains a mystery to this day.

The Ryn constructed their dreadnought after their first encounter with the Andromedans. It was an attempt to field a vessel capable of standing up to the larger invasion ships, and was only marginally successful. The Ryn were apparently unable to build a larger hull with their limited shipyard facilities. Only a few were ever built and none were ever seen outside the Ryn Nebula.

This ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
