MaK DE 1024 overview
The MaK DE 1024 (DB Class 240) is a type of diesel-electric locomotive built in the 1980s by MaK, Krupp, and ABB. Three prototypes were made as technology demonstrators for a potential order from Deutsche Bundesbahn, but none were ordered due to the availability of similar locomotives after the reunification of Germany.
The locomotives were designed to be versatile for both freight and passenger trains on non-electrified parts of the German rail network. The locomotives were built using modular construction, allowing for easy replacement and interchangeability of individual parts.
This model contains Z scale body and underbody boxes of MaK DE 1024 locomotive.
