A repeat of the previous Tennessee-class with heavier main armament: 8x 16"/45cal Mk5 guns in 4 dual mounts. Four were originally planned, but BB47 (Washington) had to be cancelled when the Washington Naval Treaty took effect in 1922.
This item depicts the ships as they would've have appeared in 1944: Colorado and Maryland loosing their cage mainmast, replaced with a more compact structure and upgraded AA suite with numerous 20mm and 40mm guns. Though generally similar, Colorado was the only one with aircraft handling rails on her quarterdeck.
West Virginia was extensively rebuilt until late-1944 and joined the fleet looking very similar to the late-war Tennessee-class.
Includes 6x aircraft representing OS2U Kingfisher.
