Product Description
Zeppelin Q-Type  (Navy L20 Class) as built at Potsdam
You have a choice of 1:1250 or 1:1200 scale - please check your choice in the top right corner of this page.

For 1:1250 scale decals please go to my CLASSIC AIRSHIPS  website.

Of the twelve Zeppelin  Q-Types, six were built in and around Friedrichshafen near to Lake Constance in the south of Germany. The six others were built at Potsdam , a city bordering Berlin in the northeast and home to the airship shed being used by
DELAG , the world's first revenue earning airline service.  These six are immediately distinguishable by the square-cut , rectangular shape of their rudders and elevators - Friedrichshafen Q-Type  rudders and elevarors were trapezium shaped with the outer ends square and the inner edges in-line with the hull. (The Friedrichshafen Q-Type model is available HERE.)

For the German Army , Q-Types LZ101,  LZ103, LZ107 and LZ111  were built at Potsdam. The German Navy designated  their Q-Types as "L20 Class" and of these L23 and L24 were built at Potsdam.  This  data is from "Giants in the Sky" by Douglas H Robinson.
