Product Description
Here's our final nylon version of the TRX4 Front Portal SOA. This one took into account user feedback as we updated the original design.
Like the original design it still cups the panhard mount for support on the passenger side. It will sit over the existing 3-link mount and create a 4th link slot next to that. The drivers side is held down with the brace that connects to the lower shock mount on the axle.
Changes:
Only screws and/or nuts required for install. No more servo mount plate
More room for link clearance on top
Servo lowered slightly
Drivers side brace added for additional stability
Block between link mounts can now be threaded. No longer need to run one long screw all the way through. One long screw still recommended.
This design is mainly intended for custom builds. The stock TRX4 skid and chassis don't have provisions for a 4th link. You CAN however drill a hole in the chassis and mount a link according to a couple customers.
We're seeing about a 650-700ozin max on the servos for the Versatile Plastic and our inhouse Ninjatek prints. Make sure those endpoints are set. If you really beat on the rig and are running heavy metal rigs it'd probably be best to check out our metal adapter instead.
Will need:
1 x M3x60mm for the 4-link screw with brace. You can try getting away with 2 x M3 just make sure you don't bottom them out together.
4 X M3x~20MM to mount the servo
1 X M3x~12mm for the panhard
1xM3x~12mm for the side brace to connect to the shock tower.
There will be some tension installing the drivers side brace - it's normal. The drivers side brace also has some adjustability to it incase you're using after market panhard/link mounts.
