3788 Scale Hydran Voltiguer Local Defense Frigate

The Hydrans are an unusual species that live on the far side of the Klingon Empire, along the edge of the galaxy. They are enemies of the Klingons and Lyrans, and were conquered by those empires at one point, only to drive the invaders out decades later. Hydrans breathe methane and live on cold type-S gas giants on silicate continents floating on liquid methane oceans.

The Hydrans refitted more than a dozen of these ships for use in the War of Return (when they reconquered their kingdom and ejected the Klingons and Lyrans, and the few survivors of that war remained in regular naval service until for several years. After that, they were used for local defense. At least one fought in (and was destroyed during) the Four Powers War, by which time it was completely outclassed. The others were swept up by the Klingon and Lyran invasion forces during the General War or spent their remaining years in the Old Colonies. This ship is a variant of the Musketeer warp-refitted frigate. Unlike most Hydran ships, it carries no fighters.

This ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
