This beacon was used in the pilot episodes of "Star Trek: Discovery" to gather all Klingon houses. Is it only me, or does anyone else also think that this would have been a much better design for the Klingon Raider? At least this one look much more like the Klingon Bird-of-Prey, unlike the Peacock-Frog thing we got in a later episode. The Actual Raider could have also easily served as the beacon, if the "legs" would have been removed and the cockpit replaced with an emitter. Maybe someone in the art department accidentally swapped a few design sketches?
