Product Description
Wing plate mounted tank wagons were some of the earliest designs, dating from the late 1800s. Some of them remained in service with Shell Mex & BP until the 1960s when the air braked TTA tankers were introduced. At least three made it into preservation at Carnforth, the West Somerset Railway and the former Snibston Discovery Centre.
