Holster, with Bit Grips, for FREE P4

This holster is designed to fit a modified Leatherman Free P4 Multitool.
This model is meant for customers who also ordered either my 4mm Bit Driver modification or Flat bit modification.

Note: The Bit Extender models are NOT compatible with the new Leatherman Ratchet.

Sorry for the odd variant names, this is a Shapeways limitation. Please refer to the images and 3D view to ensure your getting the right configuration you want.

Regular, BDU closed loop:

• 48x5mm (1.9x0.2in) closed belt loop. 
• Fits regular, and Air Force DLATS Belts (BDU) style belts.
• Closed loop is stronger than open clip.
• Also attaches to PALS webbing. MOLLE Compatible.
• Features keyhole for hanging on a hook/nail.
• Select "1:100" for BDU Loop, with 4mm bit holders.
• Select "1:110" for BDU Loop, with Flat bit holders.
• Select "1:150" for BDU Loop, with Flat bit holders, plus bit extender grip.

Large, Duty closed belt loop:

• 58x7mm (2.28x0.27in) closed belt loop.
• Fits large, and Duty style belts.
• Also attaches to PALS webbing. MOLLE Compatible.
• Features keyhole for hanging on a hook/nail.
• Select "1:200" for Duty Loop, with 4mm bit holders.
• Select "1:250" for Duty Loop, with Flat bit holders.

Plastic open belt clip:

• 48x5mm (1.9x0.2in) open belt clip.

• Allows for holster to be clips on without taking off belt.
• Plastic clip may fatigue over time. Recommended for light duty use.
• Select "1:400" for Plastic Clip, with 4mm bit holders.
• Select "1:480" for Plastic Clip, with Flat bit holders.
• Select "1:500" for Plastic Clip, with Flat bit holders, plus bit extender grip.

Metal Clip Compatible:

Features:

• Ultra slim and light design.
• Multiple attachment styles available.

• The tool is is held in place using the two spring-loaded release buttons built into the multitool.
• The whole face of the tool exposed for a unique and stylish look.
• A channel down the center allows you to remove the tool using just one hand.

Design:
Before design, the tool was recreated using professional CAD software. No detail was spared. The holster was then designed to form fits around the tool. Seven different prototypes were created to perfect the fit and feel. Features were added along the way, such as the ability to insert the tool in any orientation.

Bit holder tightness:
The bit holders are quite tight when the part arrives.
For the 4mm bit grips, you can insert a 4mm or 5/32" allen key and rotate it around to exercise the bit holders and loosen them up a bit.
For the flat bits, simply pushing the bits through a few times should loosen then up.

Pocket Clip:
To remove the pocket clip from the Leatherman FREE you need a Torx T6 driver. You can then fill in the holes left behind by using two tiny #2-56 x 1/16"L Set Screws. (Available cheaper from other sources)

About the material:
Made from flexible yet strong Nylon 12 plastic. The part is created using 3D printed laser sintered plastic. The result is a solid plastic component that is durable and long lasting.

Like all nylon materials the part can absorb moisture. Care should be taken to prevent prolonged exposure to liquids. Dry the part as soon as possible to prevent warping, and to keep the tool dry.

Like most plastics: Care should be taken to keep the holster out of direct sunlight or high heat for extended periods.  The actual nylon material is very heat resistant, however prolonged heat can allow warping to occur.
