Some NSWGR C30T tender locomotives ran with an ex-NSWGR D50 Class 3650 gallon bogie tender for use on branch lines where extra water and coal were required. A 60-foot turntable was required to turn these bogie tender C30Ts against a 50-foot turntable for the ex-C32 Class 6 wheel tender versions.
These two air tanks and toolbox were fitted onto the rear deck of the tender and the rear wall of the coal bunker was extended towards the front to the next set of tank side rivets.
