HO Dallas Stone and Webster 400

HO model of a Dallas Stone & Webster car. This is designed for use with the economical Bowser traction mechanism part number 125130. The correct trucks for this car, Brill Maximum Traction, are not currently produced by any supplier, so the Bowser kit with Brill sideframes is a stand-in.
Custom Traxx offers the drives, plus they also offer the trolley poles and 2mm brass bushings required for installation, available in kit HT-P4S.
To prepare for assembly, wash all parts with un-diluted Simple Green and an electric toothbrush, preferably one similar to a Sonicare. Rinse with hot water while continuing to scrub with the toothbrush. Repeat as many times as needed until the part no longer have any waxy residue.
The model is designed with alignment pegs to ensure proper assembly. Ensure all peg holes are clear of any debris before putting parts together. You may find it easiest to paint the parts before assembly.
All body-to-floor and mechanism installation screw holes are sized for a 2-56 machine screw. Be sure to pre-tap all holes gently to avoid splitting any of the parts.
Makeshift decals are available for $5. They are homemade but passable.
