Ok folks... here they are... Finally!
The ESB/TFA Wall Lights for the DeAgostini Falcon. Why? Well, I've seen many offerings for the ESB light sconces (even bought a few) but there's a problem. All the offerings so far have been too large. You should be able to fit
5 lights per large wall cushion section and all the others I've tried will only allow you to fit maxium of 4. So, my OCD took over and here we are! Due to the extremely fine detail, they will only be available in
FXD. However, this also has its advantages. Being an almost clear plastic, lighting these will be a breeze! Painting and assembly will be simple. Paint the entire top piece a solid color, I suggest a flat black or gun metal. Allow the paint to dry fully overnight. Once cured, glue the top on the bottom tube and insert into the hole you drill. I've created a hole in the bottom tube to fit an entire
1.8mm LED perfectly so the only thing that will come from it are the wires to avoid the cockpit corridor wall/hull issue. Each grid panel is curved at the bottom to conform to the curve of the wall cushions perfectly.
I've also included a handy
Drill Bit Guide for marking your cushion for drilling the holes. Simply use the side part and rest it on the top of the cushion and scrape it along the entire top of the cushion. It will mark the cushion at the position where the light drill holes should go. Glue the cushion onto the wall and then use the top positioning pins to mark your holes on that first marking to get the perfect distance apart from each other. Some walls only take 1 or 3 lights, but use a
#79 (.38mm Drill Bit) for each hole thru both the cushion and outer corridor wall. Once the hole is drilled, place the tube of each light in the hole (after painting) and glue in place. Glue a
1.8mm Blue LED (Yellow for TFA version) in the holes and light em up!
(NOTE: For extra effect for the TFA version, you can use a bi-color Yellow/Red to show the Warning Lights!)
