A Klingon Cleave ship rammed the USS Europa during the "Battle of the Binary Stars" in the pilot episode of "Star Trek: Discovery". Another one destroyed two Section 31 ships in the 2nd season finale "Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2". The concept of a ship specially designed to ram through other ships is a bad idea in my opinion. After destroying a ship this way, it is most likely that you find yourself in the middle of a matter-antimatter explosion and might also be destroyed. Just as it happened with the USS Europa. Also, for the material required to build an almost 1km long solid "blade", you could easily build a whole fleet of ships instead. It's funny how the same "idea" of ramming through another ship was also used in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" that was released a few months after the Discovery episode and because Star Wars most probably was longer in production than the TV episode, i wonder who "borrowed" this idea from the other? There many fans also didn't like it. For the ships design, i think it doesn't fit to the Klingons very well. The whole Gothic style of Discovery is much too playful for Klingons who prefer efficient war machines over ornately designs. This design in particular is missing some warp nacelles or at least some large impulse engines or thrusters to get enough momentum to ram through a ship. Also, when you realize the ships head look like a Capybara from the side, you can't take this ship serious anyway ;-)
