Starbase 375 and 257 in several episodes of DS9 was the last modification of the model that started as the Orbital Office Complex in "Star Trek: The Motion Picture". The original model was flipped over and had most of the smaller pods removed for the Regula Type. Instead, an "observatory" was added to one of the larger pods. To finally create this Starbase Type the model also lost the four large tubes and the small pod on the side with the "observatory". This model has the same size as the Orbital Office Complex in my shop for which i determined the size according to the various airlocks around the station. They need to be the same size (about 2m in diameter) as on the TMP Constitution Refit, so that Travel Pods and the Vulcan Surak Shuttle can actually dock with them. This size also allows to fit a narrow corridor into the "arms" holding the pods, so that the crew can walk in them without having to duck. However, especially Starbase 375 and most probably also Starbase 257 are intended to be much larger when compared to starships, like the Defiant, Miranda or even Galaxy Class, appearing next to the station, although the model wasn't altered to actually reflect this (E.g. window sizes). The thing must be 5-6 times larger according to the visuals, but as there is no official size here, i keep it at the size that fits to the visible airlocks and windows.
