This ship is used as a construction ship in the Video game "Star Trek: Infinite". It is clearly based on the Y-Class Freighter from "Star Trek: Enterprise" but with a more TNG like approach. I don't want to call this a Refit (as many fanboys would do). I rather think that the Y-Class was built for many years and, just like with car models nowadays, from time to time the design got a "facelift" and was adapted to the newest technologies. But each new model needed to fit into the same facilities to load/unload the vessel as the older ones, still around (think about loading ramps on warehouses, and that each truck should fit them in width and height). I therefore assume that the ship shouldn't be much larger than the 22nd century version. I therefore matched the two models in width, making this about 280m in length, just 10m longer than the older one. At this size, the crew compartment is still much larger (more comfortable), and the shuttlebay door on the back is large enough for most shuttles, maybe except for Runabouts or heavy shuttles like the Type 17 ("Argo"). The only thing i didn't like on the game model is, that it had no warp nacelles. The original Y-Class has two underslung nacelles on the back. The things on the sides of the front module are NOT the warp nacelles. I think this is due to the fact that the models in the game usually are only visible from above, so very few efforts were made to design and detail the underside of the ships. Well, a freighter without warp capability wouldn't be of much use, and so i added two nacelles to the design. They are reminiscent of the nacelles found in the TMP era, implying that even in the 24th century this model has been around for quite a wile.
