Product Description
The Hydrans are an unusual species that live on the far side of the Klingon Empire, along the edge of the galaxy. They are enemies of the Klingons and Lyrans, and were conquered by those empires at one point, only to drive the invaders out decades later. Hydrans breathe methane and live on cold type-S gas giants on silicate continents floating on liquid methane oceans.

The Hydrans (like other empires) build a fleet tug (cargo transport) based on their Ranger heavy cruiser hull, removing all but three of the fighters and most of the weapons to provide internal cargo space (something few other tugs had). It could carry a cargo pod to double that, if need be. There were never enough tugs and most cargoes were moved by freighters, but fleet tugs carried the highest priority cargo (since they could move at fleet speed) and carried out construction projects (such as upgrading bases to the next larger size). The ship was sometimes known as a Camel by Federation intelligence which briefly believed that the Hydrans had two externally similar but internally different tugs in service.

The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
