Offset Somsky Gears is an off-center gear set based on the Somsky Gears. Somsky Gears are exactly-fitting planetary gears of which the sun gear is not coaxial with the annulus gear. After seeing Oskar's video of Looney Gears, Bill Somsky proved that there are huge numbers of exact solutions for Looney Gears. Tom Rokicki developed a "Somsky Solver" tool to quickly design and visualise Somsky Gears. Oskar's next question was whether Somsky Gears can be offset to yield another set of Somsky Gears with the same axes as the first one. Both Tom Rokicki and Bill Somsky demonstrated that there are plenty of Somsky Gears that qualify to the criterion. This model is one example, found by Bill Somsky.
