Product Description
Drone-using empires often used “scatter-pack” shuttles to deliver mass volleys of drones. A standard shuttle was quickly fitted with prefabricated rails to mount drones. Drones were then loaded and the unmanned shuttle sent on a programmed course relying on its scanners to detect a target and release the drones. This gave a warship the ability to launch six drones from a standard-sized shuttle, usually more drones than the ship could launch by itself. This was a temporary increase in firepower at the (probable) cost of a relatively inexpensive shuttlecraft. The fleet officer responsible for the budget to buy replacement shuttles probably wished that the idea had never been invented.
The ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
