3788 Scale Qari T64 Heavy Cruiser CVN

The Qaris (pronounced Car-reeze) are a simulator empire created by the Federation for purposes of combat training. They are based on late 20th-century mechanized ground combat, a concept seemingly irrelevant to space combat but which, in fact, provided a cohesive structure for a reasonably complete empire with unique weapons. The point of the simulator empires was for a captain and bridge crew to encounter and deal with an entirely unknown alien empire with unique ship designs and technology.

The T64 Heavy Cruiser is the original Qari heavy cruiser. It is armed with a kinetic cannon, the primary heavy weapon of the Qaris. It operates by accelerating a “dilithium penetrator” or a “nucleonic charge” to trans-warp speeds and directing it toward the target. The weapon fires very rapidly (several times per turn). The “dilithium penetrators” can penetrate shields more easily than most weapons. The "nucleonic
charge" was used for general destruction of softer targets. The T64 also has subspace-guided missiles which remain under control of the Qari ship irrespective of the presence of enemy ships. The kinetic cannon and two phasers are mounted in a rotating turret.

This ship is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
