The Apollo Class was only mentioned on displays during TNG and in a scene, cut from the pilot episode of DS9. Some reference books identify the Vulcan T'Pau Type from TNG: "Unification I" as an Apollo Class, but this was never confirmed on screen. I really doubt, that the Vulcans name one of their ships after a Greek good, that sounds highly illogical. In fandom, it seems to be commonly accepted that the Apollo Class is a variant of the Ambassador Class, in the same way what the Nebula Class is to the Galaxy Class. This is most likely also due to this model that, as far as i know, originated from the old, now defunct StarTrekAustralia.com. This model was incredibly well-made for it's time, highly detailed and thought out. One of the better fan-made Federation starships out there. The only thing i changed, are the warp nacelles, that i replaced with the ones from the other Ambassador Class models in my shop, so they are exactly the same shape and size. The original ones where a little too square for my taste.
