Bundle contains the USN battleships BB57 South Dakota and BB56 Washington (BB55 North Carolina model) of Task Force 64.
Together with 4 other destroyers, they were patrolling the vicinity of Savo Island during the night of 14 November 1942 when they encountered Adm. Nobutake Kondo's force consisting of battleship Kirishima, heavy cruisers Takao and Atago, light cruisers Nagara and Sendai, and 9 destroyers.
