This ship was originally kitbashed from an AMT Enterprise kit with nacelle pylons taken from a Monogram/Revell Intrepid Class (USS Voyager) kit, to act as a background ship in an episode of DS9. There are studio photos of the model, but until now it could not be identified in any episode. The ship is also depicted in the DS9 Technical Manual, but with a wrong size. 365m is much too big. I scaled it to match the saucer and the nacelles to that of a Constitution Refit. The model was not labeled and in the Book it is just classified as "Constitution-Class Starship Variant". The name USS Jupp comes from a text in the book: "In 2374, the USS Jupp was incorporated into the Second Fleet. She survived the early battles of the Dominion War and was heading towards the relative safety of Federation space along with other ships of the fleet." Some non canon sources call this a Constant Class, but there is no evidence this name was ever officially used for it. It kinda looks like the refit version of the Saladin/Hermes Class though. Now with two warp nacelles.
