This is the original TRX4 Portal Servo On Axle adapter that was copied by a certain east coast company, but updated from user feedback.
This adapter will allow you to mount a servo plate on your Traxxas TRX4 Front Portal Axle. It cradles the existing 3 link slot, creates a 4 link mount, and bridges over to the panhard for support. The inlcuded side brace is an optional piece, doesn't really have to be installed. But was requested by some with boulder moving servos.
This design was in use on Brazin Scale RCs C3 Land Cruiser rig for months and worked great.
NOT intended for use with Stock TRX4 setups. Intended to be used with custom builds. While the part fits over the axle fine, depending on your chassis/skid/servo mount you may need to do a little trimming here and there. It fits inside a Brazin chassis with 72mm wide front brace just fine.
This version has no holes in it so you can use the servo plate of your choice. Just drill some 2.5mm holes where you need them and use M3 screws to secure. 2.7mm holes at most if you want to maintain good bite. You can also use some brass M3 threaded inserts, they're cheap on Amazon.
We suggest using one long screw (~50mm) for the links. You can get away with 2 but there's not a whole lot of room for threading in the middle block.
We're seeing about a 650-700ozin max on the servos for the Versatile Plastic and our inhouse Ninjatek prints. Make sure those endpoints are set. If you really beat on the rig and are running heavy metal rigs it'd probably be best to check out our metal adapter instead.
