Wiley Post was the foremost aviator of his time. While working on an oil field during his youth, an accident caused him to lose one eye. Post purchased his first airplane with the settlement money and began breaking aviation records. Having discovered that high altitude flight allows faster speeds, he set a goal to break a cross country speed record with his airplane Winnie Mae. Wiley worked with B.F. Goodrich to develop the world's first operational pressure suit for this pursuit. This helmet is modeled in 1/6 scale for a creating 12" display figures.
