Minimal Penta is yet another member of the "Minimal" family. Its closest relative is
Minimal Hepta. Though designed in 2016, it was never prototyped until 2018. The puzzle can be considered a mingle of five 1x2x2. Each 1x2x2 can be trivially scrambled and solved in six half turns. However, there are other turns possible, and there are series of turns that get the puzzle back to its original shape, but with pieces swapped. Therefore, this puzzle can likely be
FULLY scrambled. A limitation is the jumbling of the inner rails pieces. Even though some moves look viable from the outside, the jumbled rails may block some movement. So some further unbandaging of the rails is needed. It is not know whether the rails can be fully unbandaged.
