Product Description
The PRESTWIN twin silo powder wagon was a standard design for British Railways introduced from 1960 and used until the early 1980s.
The intial version, Diagram 274, was designed to run on a BR standard 17' 6", 10' wheelbase chassis. A revised design to Diagram 277 lowered the silos by 9" and ran on a 19' 6", 12' wheebase chassis.
Examples of these wagons can be viewed on Paul Bartlett's Wagon Site, including both designs together.

NOTES
- A Diagram 277 body shell can be purchased singly. Choose SMALL option.
- A Diagram 274 body shell can be purchased singly. Choose MEDIUM option.
- A pair of PRESTWIN body shells, comprising one of each design, can also be purchased. Choose EXTRA LARGE option.
- Basic ladders are included but these could be replaced by brass equivalents from suppliers such as N Brass Locos .

- A sheet of 3mm decals for 18 examples covering both versions is available from Railtec. Cambridge Custom Transfers BL47 & BL48 cover the versions separately.
