Product Description
NOTE:  This is a kit and it has been divided up, the SAIL and accoutrements here, the HULL, here.  You need BOTH in order to complete this kit.  I did this to reduce the price.  Yes, it's annoying, but it's a minor inconvienience and only requires you add both elements to your cart.

The Type 210 Ula (Type P 6071) class diesel sumbmarine is considered one of the quietest and most manueverable submarines in the world.  So quiet and manueverable that NATO has been exercising with Norway's Ulas in order to better hone their skills of hunting small, littoral, diesel/electric submarines.   Developed by the German  Nordseewerke firm, with hull sections built in Norway (and sonar suites built by Germany and France) , the Ula class is only operated by the Royal Norwegian Navy.  First launched in 1989,   6 are currently in service.

Displacing 1150 tons submerged, the Ula is 59 m long and has a draft of 4.6 m.  8 x 533 mm torpedo tubes are in the bow, and they can launch  14 German made Atlas Elektronik DM2A3 torpedos.  She has a complement of 21 sailors.  Here is a very good assessment, from 2001, that goes into more details and technical specs.

This is a full assembly kit model.

Here are my general instructions for working with Fine Detail Plastic.
